The 21st Century is witnessing major global shifts in everything from demographics, technology, and business to politics and the environment. In this volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world, we must adjust to changes in our personal lives, learn new ways to work in organizations, and confront social challenges through intercultural dialogue and collaboration.
Unfortunately, at a moment when we need guidance and something to rely on more than ever, we find that our old assumptions and behaviors hamper rather than help us. The solution is for individuals, organizations, and communities to acquire a toolkit suited for this new world.
We Are here to help
At Hahn Cultural Consulting, we believe that a global mindset, cross-cultural competence and the ability to effectively grapple with change are among today's most critical skills, and we are ready to help you transform culture from a dilemma or a hindrance into a strategic asset.
Whether you are moving abroad or returning home, managing a global team, reporting to a supervisor from a different culture, or shifting your organizational culture to become more innovative and agile, we can help. We are also here for you if you are examining thorny cultural questions in your community or organization, building global skills and leadership capabilities in your students and employees, or looking for effective, research-based methods for promoting diversity and inclusion. Quite simply, if you are facing a personal, organizational, or community cultural issue, we think it is better to partner with experts than to go it alone.
How we work
We know that every person, company, and community is unique, so we start with a critical conversation to identify the root causes of your cultural situation. Once we get to know you, your challenges, and your goals, we propose a custom package of practical solutions to help you reach your potential. Our services include assessments, facilitation, training, workshops, seminars, coaching, mentoring, and guest speaking. We also create expert articles, podcasts, and other self-guided learning materials for those who want to dig deeper.
Why work with us?
We offer robust interdisciplinary knowledge and expertise, respected academic and professional credentials, leadership in the fields of global management, change management, and intercultural relations, and a firm grasp of the latest research. Our clients appreciate our deep listening, keen insights, ability to read between the lines, and capacity for distilling unwieldy concepts and communicating them in a clear and actionable way. We are also non-judgmental and work with you where you are - but will always tell you what you need to hear so you can get to where you need to go.
Additionally, we not only advise clients on cultural problems; we also approach their challenges in an intercultural, interdisciplinary way. Indeed, our greatest strength is that we have not only been expats ourselves, but we also come from a range of backgrounds, with differences in gender, ethnicity, religion, academic specialization, profession, and industry. This gives us a twofold advantage: Not only do we have a deep well of resources and perspectives to draw on as we consult with you, but we also fully comprehend the reality of working across cultures. It's not only what we help you do – it's what we do, too – everyday.
